Agricultural Development Bank Limited
Agricultural Development Bank Limited (ADBL) is a Kathmandu-based 'A' class commercial bank with its head office at Ramshahpath, Kathmandu. It was originally established in 1968 under the ADBN Act 1967 as the successor to the cooperative bank, with a mandate to provide institutional credit for the agricultural sector. The Land Reform Savings Corporation merged into it in 1973, and it entered commercial banking in 1984. It was incorporated as a public limited company on 14 July 2005 under the Bank and Financial Institution Act (BAFIA). The bank is majority government-owned, with 51% held by the Government of Nepal and 49% by the general public. ADBL operates a nationwide network across all 7 provinces and 77 districts.
