It operates the 8.5 MW Upper Hewa Khola Small Hydropower Project, a run-of-river scheme (net head about 236 m, design discharge 4.2 m3/s at Q40) located in Sankhuwasabha district, Koshi Province, with an estimated annual energy of about 46.3 GWh. The project cost was Rs 1,409 million (about Rs 166 million per MW) at a 70:30 debt-to-equity ratio and was commissioned on 2 April 2022. A flood on 17 June 2023 halted production for nearly six months, with operations resuming on 4 January 2024. UHEWA was listed under the Hydro Power sector on NEPSE on 10 August 2022, selling power to the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA).
