Sanjen Jalavidhyut Company Limited (SJCL) is a public limited company incorporated in March 2010 and a subsidiary of Chilime Hydropower Company Limited. It developed two cascade hydroelectric projects in Amachhodingmo Rural Municipality, Rasuwa district, Bagmati Province, about 160 km north of Kathmandu: the 42.5 MW Sanjen Hydroelectric Project (SHEP) with its powerhouse in Chilime Village, and the 14.8 MW Sanjen (Upper) Hydroelectric Project (SUHEP) located in Simbu Village. The upper scheme is a run-of-river project with a daily peaking facility of about 1 hour 10 minutes, a gross head of 161.3 m and annual energy of 82.44 GWh, and has been generating electricity since August 2023.
