Sahas Urja Limited (SAHAS) is a Kathmandu-based hydropower company established in Bhadra 2071 B.S. (2014). It developed and operates the 86 MW Solu Khola (Dudhkoshi) Hydroelectric Project, a run-of-river scheme located in Solududhkunda Municipality and Thulung Dudhkoshi Rural Municipality of Solukhumbu district, Koshi Province, at the confluence of the Solu and Dudhkoshi rivers. The project, the largest privately developed hydropower project in Nepal, was commissioned and connected to the national grid in 2023, with a total estimated cost of about Rs 11.86 billion. The project was originally held under Hydro Venture Pvt. Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Sahas Urja, before licenses were transferred to SAHAS in 2017. The plant has a gross head of about 613 m and produces roughly 520 GWh of mean annual energy.
