Matribhumi Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. is a national-level Class-D retail microfinance institution incorporated as a public limited company under the Companies Act 2063. It was formed when Kisan and Jalpa Samudayik Laghubitta merged and began joint operation as Matribhumi Laghubitta on 27 Ashar 2081 (11 July 2024). The institution has a history of multiple mergers, having absorbed seven microfinance institutions (NRN, Kisan, Dibya, Creative, Ramarosan, Jalpa and Mahila Samudayik Laghubitta). Its head office is located in Lamkichuha Municipality-4, Kailali district, Sudurpashchim Province, with a corporate office in Budhanilakantha, Kathmandu. It presently operates a network of about 209 branches across 60 districts of Nepal.
