It was registered as a public limited company on 10 August 2012, obtained Nepal Rastra Bank permission as a Class-D national-level institution on 15 February 2019, and formally began operations on 28 February 2019. Its registered office is located in Katahari Rural Municipality, Morang district, Koshi Province. The institution operates through about 138 branch offices across 19 districts, working to raise living standards of poor rural families toward a poverty-free Nepal.
